Doing The Most Good in Prescott
“What is it? It is not a logo. It is not a tag line. It is not a slogan. It is not to be passed off as just another public relations campaign….”
In Evangeline Booth’s classic book, The War Romance of The Salvation Army, published immediately following World War 1, she wrote in the foreword the following:
“In presenting the narrative of some of the doings of The Salvation Army during the world’s greatest conflict for liberty, I am but answering the insistent call of a most generous and appreciative public.
Salvation Army Volunteers
Almost 3.4 million people of all ages volunteered their time, talents, and resources to assist The Salvation Army's work in FY 2012. Our volunteers are critical partners in helping us fulfill our promise to America of "Doing the Most Good."
Many of our Salvation Army units across the country list their volunteer opportunities through Volunteer Match. To get involved, please visit the Volunteer Match website by clicking on their logo below, or visit www.volunteermatch.org and search with keyword "Salvation Army."
Alternatively, please use the location search box on our website to find your local Salvation Army to inquire about volunteer opportunities.
150 Years of Service Around The World
Boundless 2015 is a celebration of what God is doing in and through The Salvation Army. It will commemorate the rich heritage of the movement that was founded by William and Catherine Booth in London's East End in 1865 - just a short distance from the congress venue. And, crucially, the congress will innovate for the future, spurring Salvationists on to even greater things in the power of the Holy Spirit. Throughout the five days, the cultural diversity of The Salvation Army will be reflected in song, dance and film. Under the leadership of General André Cox and Commissioner Silvia Cox (World President of Women's Ministries), the seven main sessions will include challenging Bible teaching and inspirational times of prayer, worship, celebration and fellowship.

Our 2014 Kidz 2 Camp Golf Tournament raised $20,000
Our 2014 Kidz 2 Camp Golf Tournament raised $20,000.00 - which will allow us to send 75 of the planned 100 children to camp in Heber, Arizona. We thank all the golfers and sponsors for their support and willingness to be a part of this great program and for helping to make a difference in the lives of these children; this year their summer will be more memorable than those in the past because of the camp experience.
